This bill, by adding section 2940a to the Revised Judicature Act of 1961, provides immunity from certain legal claims to owners or operators of racing facilities and racetracks in Michigan. The bill defines the "area of a racing facility or racetrack" as a 5-mile radius around its property and clarifies that "racing facility or racetrack" includes the track itself, spectator areas, garages, and any associated grounds or buildings used for races.
