This resolution commends the CSX Santa Train, a cherished holiday tradition that has brought joy and hope to Appalachia for 83 years. In 2025 alone, it provided over 15,000 toys and 5,000 bags of cold-weather gear to hundreds of individuals at 15 locations. This initiative is made possible by the dedication of volunteers, CSX employees, and the generosity of sponsors and community partners. The resolution expresses the General Assembly's admiration for the train's compassionate service and its profound cultural impact on Southwest Virginia, wishing it continued success in serving future generations.
