Furthermore, the Legislature supports developing conventional and advanced nuclear power, hydroelectric, geothermal, and natural gas generation as the foundation for Idaho's future energy system to provide secure, consistent power, and encourages utilities to ensure their participation in out-of-state energy markets doesn't compromise these goals.
