This resolution recognizes May 5, 2026, as Georgia Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County Day to honor the organization's 75 years of dedicated service and leadership by women in Northeast Georgia. The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County (JLGHC), founded in 1951, is a group of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing women's leadership potential, and improving their community through effective action. Over the decades, the JLGHC has significantly contributed to the well-being of Gainesville-Hall County residents by spearheading numerous initiatives and organizations that have strengthened families, enhanced educational opportunities, and improved the quality of life, including establishing centers for domestic violence victims, child advocacy, and speech and hearing services, as well as supporting a vital diaper bank. The resolution directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of this recognition to the public and the press.
