While Michelin has published guides for other U.S. cities and states, it has not yet included Hawaii, despite the state's growing culinary scene and the demand for culinary staff. The resolution highlights that achieving Michelin stars can attract diners, chefs, and publicity, and can motivate restaurants to improve their standards, thus benefiting Hawaii's tourism and economy. A certified copy of this resolution will be sent to the Director of DBEDT.
