This resolution recognizes Georgia HBCU and Divine Nine Day to honor the significant contributions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), which have historically provided educational opportunities and leadership development, and the Divine Nine, which are nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations that have made substantial contributions to scholarship, public service, and civic engagement. The resolution acknowledges that graduates and members of these institutions and organizations continue to strengthen communities through education, mentorship, professional excellence, and service, and specifically celebrates Georgia's role as home to distinguished HBCUs. It further expresses appreciation to all students, alumni, faculty, and members who uplift communities across Georgia and directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of the resolution.
