This resolution provides for the Senate's business during the period after the 2026 Regular Session of the Sixty-ninth Legislature concludes and before the next regular session begins. It grants the Senate Facilities and Operations Committee broad authority over contracts requiring Senate funds, with the ability to delegate routine matters to the Secretary of the Senate, all while adhering to budget limits. The Secretary of the Senate is also empowered to authorize travel expenses and per diem for members and staff, hire necessary employees with appropriate pay rates, and issue vouchers for legislative expenses. Furthermore, the Secretary, in consultation with the Facilities and Operations Committee leadership, can approve requests for standing committees to meet during this interim period. The resolution also directs the printing of the Senate Journals from the 2026 session, allows the Majority Leader to form special committees with approval from the Facilities and Operations Committee, and permits the use of Senate facilities under terms set by the Secretary of the Senate.
