This bill appropriates $900,000 to the State Board of Education and the Board of Regents of the University of Idaho for Health Education Programs for fiscal year 2027. * $480,000 from the General Fund for Family Medicine Residencies. * $240,000 from the General Fund for Eastern Idaho Med Residencies. * $180,000 from the General Fund for University of Utah Medical Education. * The bill authorizes an increase of 2.50 full-time equivalent positions for Health Education Programs. * Funding for 15 new graduate medical education residencies and fellowships for fiscal year 2027 is intended to come from the Rural Health Transformation Fund. If these funds become available before July 1, 2026, any General Fund money initially appropriated for these residencies and fellowships will be used for new undergraduate medical education seats.
