This bill appropriates additional funds and makes transfers for the Department of Environmental Quality for fiscal year 2027, while also reducing an existing appropriation and authorizing additional positions. * The Department of Environmental Quality receives an additional $181,700 for the IPDES Program Fund for Water Quality, and $1,230,000 for the Environmental Remediation (Triumph Mine) Fund and $400,000 for the Solid Waste Regulatory Fund for Waste Management and Remediation. The total additional appropriation is $2,011,700. * An existing appropriation to the Department of Environmental Quality for the Water Quality Program from the Department of Environmental Quality (Federal) Fund is reduced by $181,700. * The Department of Environmental Quality is authorized to increase its full-time equivalent positions by four (4.00). * The balance of the DEQ Air Permitting Fees Account is transferred to the Idaho Air Quality Permitting Fund. * The balance of the DEQ Drinking Water Fees Account is transferred to the Public Water System Supervision Fund. * $400,000 is transferred from the Hazardous Waste Emergency Fund to the Solid Waste Regulatory Fund. * All appropriations and transfers are for the fiscal year July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
