This bill amends existing Idaho law regarding the taking of wildlife by prohibiting the use of certain technologies for hunting or scouting big game animals or game birds from August 30 through December 31 each year, specifically including thermal imaging, night vision, transmitting trail cameras on government land, and drones or unmanned aircraft systems, though exceptions are provided for hunting wolves, mountain lions, or predatory wildlife, monitoring and controlling damage to property, retrieving wounded game, monitoring buildings for theft deterrence, and monitoring traps. The bill also declares an emergency and sets an effective date of July 1, 2026.
