This resolution, passed by both the Tennessee Senate and House of Representatives, honors Leadership Franklin for its thirtieth anniversary. Established in 1996, Leadership Franklin is a ten-month program designed to bring together existing leaders from diverse backgrounds in the Franklin community to understand and address the issues facing the city. Over the past thirty years, the organization has equipped over 500 alumni with knowledge across various sectors, including history, business, government, and quality of life, and has facilitated more than 100 community projects that have benefited Franklin, such as the Jimmy Gentry statue and the establishment of Bicentennial Park. The resolution commends Leadership Franklin for its commitment to public service and its contributions to improving the quality of life for its citizens.
