This joint resolution temporarily suspends the collection of the user fee on gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as the road tax, for an initial period of thirty days. This suspension is intended to provide relief to consumers, likely in response to high fuel prices. The resolution also includes a provision for an automatic extension of this suspension for another thirty days if, at the end of the initial thirty-day period, the average price of gasoline in South Carolina has not decreased by fifteen percent from a base price.
