AI Summary

This bill amends the Medicare Supplement Insurance Act to add a new section that prohibits insurers from denying, conditioning, or discriminating in the pricing of a Medicare supplement policy based on an applicant's health status, claims history, or medical condition. This protection applies to individuals applying for a Medicare supplement policy during a specific six-month enrollment period after turning 65 and enrolling in Medicare Part B without penalty, or to those who are already insured under a Medicare supplement policy and are switching to a different insurer or seeking to maintain the same type of plan within 60 days of their birthday. For those switching insurers under these conditions, the new policy must become effective at least 30 days after the application is signed.
