This resolution, passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Tennessee General Assembly, honors and congratulates Brodie Melzoni of Nolensville High School for being named a 2025-2026 John Maher Builders Scholar-Athlete. This designation recognizes his outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, and community involvement. The John Maher Builders Scholar-Athlete program, a twenty-year partnership with the Williamson Herald, highlights exceptional high school students and makes them eligible for scholarships. Brodie Melzoni is specifically celebrated for his remarkable wrestling career, including two Class AA state championships and breaking the school record for career wins, as well as his academic excellence, evidenced by a 4.69 GPA and a 35 ACT score, and his membership in the National Honor Society and Spanish Honors. The resolution also acknowledges his future plans to continue his education and wrestling at Davidson and expresses pride from his parents, school, and community.
