This Memorial honors the life and service of Arkansas State Senator Gary Don Stubblefield, who passed away at age seventy-four. It recounts his upbringing on a farm in Branch, his time as a walk-on football player for the Arkansas Razorbacks, his marriage and family life, and his extensive career in public service. This service included roles as a Justice of the Peace, a school board member, a member of various agricultural and civic boards, and ultimately, as a State Representative and then a State Senator for District 23 until his death. During his tenure in the Senate, he held leadership positions such as Chair of the City, County and Local Affairs Committee and Chair of the Senate Committee on Judiciary. The Memorial also highlights his strong faith and dedication as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at his church.
