This bill appropriates $1,750,000 from the general fund, which is the state's main operating account, to the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the city of Lakeville. This funding is specifically for the predesign, design, and construction of replacing two retaining walls along the south side of Klamath Trail, located east and west of Kings Court in Lakeville. The project also includes preparing the site and associated support areas, as well as demolishing the existing retaining walls. This is a one-time appropriation, meaning the funds can only be used for this specific project and will remain available until the project is finished or canceled, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642, which governs capital project appropriations. The appropriation will become effective the day after the bill is officially passed into law.
