This resolution honors and commends the Community Action Group of Englewood (CAGE) on the fortieth anniversary of Englewood June Days, a festival that began in 1986 as part of Tennessee Homecoming '86, an initiative designed to help Tennesseans rediscover their past and celebrate their communities. The festival, initially organized by a Homecoming Planning Committee which later evolved into CAGE, has become an enduring tradition in Englewood, marking four decades of celebrating the town's rich heritage and culture with events like pancake breakfasts, music, dances, and now new attractions like motorcycle shows and antique tractor displays, all while CAGE continues its mission to preserve and promote Englewood's unique history through its museum and community events.
