This Resolution expresses the support of the House of Representatives for designating May 10, 2026, as "National Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Mental Health Day" to coincide with both National Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and National Mental Health Awareness Month. Within the document, the acronym AANHPI is used to refer collectively to Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, a rapidly growing and culturally diverse population group in the United States that currently faces significant healthcare affordability challenges, high rates of untreated mental health struggles, and unique stressors such as historical discrimination and language barriers.
