This bill, titled the Golden Mussel Eradication and Control Act of 2026, amends the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act of 1990 to establish a demonstration program specifically targeting the golden mussel, an invasive aquatic species. The program, to be developed and implemented by a Task Force in partnership with various state, local, and industry entities, will focus on prevention, monitoring, control, eradication, education, and research related to the golden mussel.
