This bill requires the Secretary of Defense to conduct a comprehensive review of the United States' posture regarding uncrewed systems, commonly known as drones, which includes aerial, ground, surface, and undersea vehicles, as well as the systems that support them. This review, referred to as a "drone posture review," will identify any weaknesses in the capabilities of U.S. forces and any vulnerabilities they might have to uncrewed systems operated by foreign adversaries. The Secretary of Defense must then submit a report detailing the findings of this review to the congressional defense committees, which are committees in Congress responsible for overseeing defense matters, by March 1, 2027.
