This bill, known as the NY Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act of 2013, enacts several significant changes to New York State law concerning firearms and mental health. Key provisions include requiring courts to revoke firearm licenses and order the surrender of firearms for individuals found not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect, or who are deemed incapacitated.
