The bill further restricts school districts from providing abortion services or allowing entities that provide abortion services to offer instruction on human sexuality or sexually transmitted diseases. Additionally, it amends tax laws to disallow certain tax credits and deductions related to abortion services and health benefit plans that cover abortions, and it modifies sales tax exemptions to exclude items used in performing abortions. The bill also introduces provisions for providing information and support services to women who receive a diagnosis of Down syndrome or other prenatally or postnatally diagnosed conditions for their child, and prohibits abortions performed solely based on the sex of the unborn child.
