This Resolution urges the legislative council to establish an interim study committee to examine the increasing use of unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones, acknowledging their beneficial applications like agricultural spraying, medical deliveries, and infrastructure monitoring, but also recognizing potential public safety and privacy concerns. The committee, if formed, would consist of members appointed from both houses of the general assembly by various legislative leaders, as well as individuals not serving in the legislature, appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate, the speaker of the house, and the governor. This committee would operate under the guidance of the legislative council and is required to submit a final report when directed.
