This bill allows retired clerk magistrates and assistant clerk magistrates to perform certain duties by creating a list of retired clerks. A retired clerk magistrate or their surviving spouse will continue to receive their full pension and benefits even after being placed on this list, and their former position will be considered vacant. These retired clerks can then be assigned by the chief justice for administration and management to help with collecting fines for unprocessed motor vehicle violations, but only for one day per month. This provision aims to utilize the experience of retired judicial staff while ensuring they continue to receive their entitled benefits.
