This bill allows the commissioner of capital asset management and maintenance, in consultation with the commissioner of conservation and recreation, to lease or make other agreements for the Northeastern University Henderson Boat House in Boston, overriding certain existing laws that govern state property. Importantly, this agreement ensures that the Boston Latin School row teams will have full access to locker, restroom, and shower facilities at the boat house on days they have practices or races. Additionally, Northeastern University is required to contribute $75,000 annually to fund the "Let's Row Boston Program," which is a rowing initiative for middle school students in Boston managed by Community Rowing, Inc.
