This bill aims to improve accountability for legislative reports by amending existing law to require all state secretariats, commissions, departments, agencies, and other entities to track all reports mandated by law, whether completed or not. It also mandates that these legislative directives be made easily accessible online in a searchable format on the "office of commonwealth performance, accountability and transparency" website, which is a new office established to oversee this process. Furthermore, the bill requires all entities that must file reports with the legislature or legislative committees to do so electronically and to provide an electronic copy to this new office. This office will then monitor the progress of these reports and make them publicly available on its website, while still requiring hard copies to be provided upon request.
