This bill restricts the types of vehicles that can use the Neponset Valley Parkway in Milton, Massachusetts, which is a road managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) within its urban parks district. Specifically, it prohibits large vehicles such as trucks, buses, campers, trailers, semi-trailer units, mobile homes, and vehicles designed to carry more than 12 people from operating on this parkway. However, exceptions are made for school buses and pickup trucks or vans that weigh 5,000 pounds or less and are no taller than 7 feet. Vehicles that are otherwise prohibited may still use the parkway if they are accessing nearby homes or healthcare facilities, but only with the explicit permission of the DCR. Violating these new rules will result in a fine ranging from $100 to $500.
