This Resolution honors the memory of Officer Sean Collier of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Police Department, 8-year-old Martin Richard from Dorchester, Massachusetts, Krystle Campbell, and Lu Lingzi, a student at Boston University, who tragically lost their lives due to the attacks in Boston, Massachusetts, on Patriots' Day, April 15, 2013, during the 117th Boston Marathon. It also expresses profound gratitude and prayers for the recovery of Officer Richard Donohue, Jr., of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Transit Police Department, and all other victims injured in the attacks, recognizing their immense bravery, sacrifice, and the unwavering dedication of law enforcement and first responders. The resolution emphasizes that the courage and sacrifice of Officer Collier and Officer Donohue, Jr., will never be forgotten and will serve as an enduring example, while also thanking all law enforcement personnel for their resolve in bringing those responsible for the bombings to justice.
