This bill, the Veterans Dialysis Pilot Program Review Act of 2013, prevents the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) from expanding a pilot program that provides dialysis care at certain VA outpatient facilities, which was started in 2009, to any new locations beyond the initial four facilities chosen for the program. This expansion is prohibited until the VA has successfully run the program at each of these initial facilities for at least two years, an independent review of the program's performance at these locations has been completed, and the Secretary has submitted a report to Congress detailing the findings of this independent analysis, along with any recommendations from the Government Accountability Office.
