This bill requires school districts in New Jersey to allow home-schooled students to participate in school-sponsored extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports, and theater productions, within their district of residence, provided they meet the same eligibility criteria as enrolled students, prove residency, and follow the activity's rules. For interscholastic sports, home-schooled students must also demonstrate they did not switch to homeschooling solely for athletic advantage, and those who left public school due to ineligibility will remain ineligible. Additionally, if a physical examination is required for an activity, the school district must allow home-schooled students to access it if it's offered to enrolled students and publicize the examination schedule online.
