This bill requires local law enforcement to notify municipal governing bodies when individuals registered as sex offenders, particularly those with offenses against minors, register their addresses, and also prohibits such registered sex offenders from living within 500 feet of schools, child care centers, or playgrounds, with specific exceptions for those already residing there before the law's enactment, those incarcerated or receiving treatment in facilities within that radius, or in cases where a school or child care facility is established near their existing home, or if granted an exception by the parole board or a court due to specific needs or conditions.
