If the off-premises sale is not part of a public vehicle show, the dealer must notify their local Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles office about the dates and location of the sale. Additionally, dealers must provide their own staff for the sale, obtain any necessary local government permits, get permission from the property owner where the sale will occur, and clearly display a sign at the sale location identifying their business name and address as it appears on their main license. Furthermore, all advertisements for these off-premises sales must prominently feature the dealer's name and business address.
