This bill directs the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, an entity responsible for managing major sports and entertainment venues in the state, to conduct a comprehensive study on the feasibility of building and operating a convention center within the Meadowlands complex, which is a large area in New Jersey that includes various sports facilities. The study will examine the potential construction, use, and development of such a center, particularly near the authority's existing arena project. After analyzing all gathered information, including different options for the convention center's size and type, the authority must submit a report with its findings and recommendations to the New Jersey Legislature. This entire process, including the submission of the report, must be completed within one year of the bill becoming law, and the bill takes effect immediately.
