This bill modifies existing Florida law regarding physician assistants (PAs) by increasing the number of PAs a physician can supervise from four to eight, and it revises the requirements for PAs to prescribe or dispense medication, now requiring them to "certify to" the department rather than "file with" it, and removing the need for a signed affidavit and two letters of recommendation for licensure, while also updating application requirements to include course transcripts and descriptions for pharmacotherapy if prescribing authority is sought.
