This bill allows for the removal of a habitual traffic offender designation for individuals who had their license revoked due to a third offense of driving with a suspended or revoked license before July 1, 2014, provided they demonstrate compliance with certain requirements before July 1, 2016, and requires the clerk of court to update records accordingly. Additionally, it grants the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles the discretion to issue a driver's license to an applicant whose license is suspended or revoked in another state if the offense that led to that action would not have been grounds for suspension or revocation in Florida.
