This bill reenacts and amends provisions related to the state employees' prescription drug program, administered by the Department of Management Services (DMS). It removes the requirement for DMS to determine that implementing a 90-day supply limit at retail pharmacies would be in the state's best financial interest, allowing retail pharmacies to fill 90-day supplies of certain maintenance drugs. The bill also revises the pharmacy dispensing fee, setting it as the lesser of a specific amount for retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacies, or an amount negotiated for a 90-day supply of a maintenance drug at a retail pharmacy. Additionally, it repeals a provision that would have caused certain aspects of the state employees' prescription drug program to expire.
