This bill supplements or reduces appropriations for state government operations for the fiscal year July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015, by providing funding for a 1.25% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for state and higher education employees, step and lane increases for employees at the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, and increased funding for health insurance benefits (2.2%), workers' compensation rates (25.7%), and retirement rate increases for state and higher education employees. It also allocates funds for up to a $26 per pay period 401(k) match for state employees enrolled in the 401(k) program. In total, the bill appropriates $57,926,900 for operating and capital budgets, $1,102,800 for business-like activities, and $3,600 for fiduciary funds for fiscal year 2015, drawing from the General Fund, Education Fund, and various other sources. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2014.
