This bill appropriates $500,000 from the general fund to the economic development department for fiscal year 2016 to enhance the marketing and business recruitment efforts of a corporation established under the Economic Development Corporation Act. The economic development department is also required to report to the relevant interim legislative committee on the outcomes of these business recruitment and expansion initiatives, with any remaining funds at the end of the fiscal year returning to the general fund.
