This bill directs the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, the state agency that administers Medicaid, to begin the process of seeking proposals for different ways to coordinate care for elderly, blind, and disabled individuals who are eligible for Medicaid. Specifically, it requires the Authority to develop and implement these care coordination models for people receiving institutional care, with a two-year phase-in period after the initial enrollment in such programs. The bill also mandates that the Oklahoma Health Care Authority Board create the necessary rules to put these changes into effect and states that the act will become law on November 1, 2015.
