This bill mandates the creation of a "Support Our Constitution" specialty license plate by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), which is the state agency responsible for issuing driver's licenses and vehicle registrations. A new annual use fee of $25 will be established for this plate, and the funds generated will be distributed to The Constitution Foundation, Inc. This foundation can initially use the proceeds to cover the costs of developing and issuing the plates, and afterward, up to 15% can be used for administrative expenses, up to 10% for promotion and marketing of the plate, with the remaining funds supporting the foundation's activities, programs, and projects.
