This Resolution sets the rules for considering two bills in the House of Representatives. First, it allows for the consideration of H.R. 644, which aims to permanently extend and expand tax deductions for businesses that donate food inventory, meaning businesses could get a permanent tax break for donating food. Second, it allows for the consideration of H.R. 636, which also seeks to permanently extend increased expensing limitations, a tax provision that allows businesses to deduct the full cost of certain assets in the year they are placed in service, rather than depreciating them over time.
