This bill appropriates $850,000 from the general fund to the New Mexico higher education department for fiscal year 2016 to support the statewide New Mexico small business development center, which is located at Santa Fe Community College. The purpose of this funding is to foster job creation by improving essential services, increasing support for small businesses, and putting into action suggestions from the jobs council, a group focused on economic development. Any money not spent or committed by the end of fiscal year 2016 will be returned to the general fund.
