This bill requires the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to create a new specialty license plate called "Florida Bay Forever," which will have "Florida" at the top and "Florida Bay Forever" at the bottom. A $25 annual use fee will be charged for this plate, and initially, the department will keep these fees to cover the costs of developing and issuing the plates. Once those startup costs are recovered, the annual use fees will be distributed to the Florida National Park Association, Inc., which can use up to 10 percent for administrative and marketing expenses, with the remaining funds supporting the Everglades National Park's budget and research, educational, interpretive, and historical initiatives related to the park.
