This bill establishes the Rapid Response Education and Training Program within the existing Complete Florida Plus Program, which is located at the University of West Florida. Key duties of this program include issuing grants to education and training providers through a competitive process, ensuring transparency with periodic reports to legislative leaders from an independent auditor, minimizing administrative expenses by using existing structures, directly assisting businesses in recruiting individuals for training, having the flexibility to end programs with 30 days' notice, and surveying employers to gauge program effectiveness. Additionally, the Division of Career and Adult Education within the Department of Education will analyze and assess how well these education and training programs align with current and future workforce needs.
