This bill establishes the Sudbury watershed advisory committee, which will be created by the commissioner and will advise the division on policies and regulations concerning fishing, boating, recreational activities, environmental affairs, wildlife, habitat matters, and sustainable wildlife programs within the Sudbury watershed. The committee will consist of representatives nominated by various organizations, including the Massachusetts Council of Sportsmen, Trout Unlimited, rod and gun clubs in specific towns, designees from town select boards and city councilors, the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Sudbury Valley Trustees, the Massachusetts Outdoor Heritage Foundation, and one member from the general public. The committee will elect a chairperson and meet at least twice a year, with provisions for alternate members.
