This bill exempts individuals under 17 years old, employed by ice cream truck vending companies with at least five employees, from certain criminal history check requirements, provided that the minor is directly supervised by an adult who holds a valid permit and is present at all times the minor is working, the minor self-reports any felony convictions for ten years after disposition or release from incarceration, and the company makes reasonable efforts to ensure its minor employees are not registered sex offenders, which includes checking the sex offender registry.
