This bill amends existing Massachusetts General Laws related to establishments licensed to sell alcoholic beverages, specifically concerning "in-house cafes" and ownership of multiple licensed businesses. It modifies Section 15 of Chapter 138 by removing the restriction that prohibited an in-house cafe from being connected to a licensed premises, now allowing such connections as long as the two areas are clearly distinct and identifiable to customers, distributors, and authorities, and the licensees can maintain control over their respective licensed areas, including the sale and service of alcohol. Additionally, it amends Section 17 of Chapter 139 to permit individuals to hold an ownership interest in more than one business entity that holds licenses under Sections 12 and 15 of Chapter 138, provided these entities are registered with the Secretary of the Commonwealth or a similar state authority.
