This bill authorizes the Commissioner of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, a state official responsible for managing state property, to sell a specific piece of undeveloped land in Danvers, Massachusetts. This land is currently used by the Massachusetts State Police, specifically their Troop A Headquarters. The sale must follow specific state laws regarding property transactions and the exact boundaries of the land will be determined by the commissioner after a survey, in consultation with the Secretary of Public Safety and the State Police. The sale price will be the full market value, determined by an independent appraisal that will be reviewed and approved by the Inspector General, a state watchdog agency. The Inspector General will then report their findings to legislative committees. The buyer will cover all costs associated with the sale, such as appraisals and surveys.
