This bill mandates that every school bus in the commonwealth, which has seating for more than 16 school pupils and operates on public roads, must be equipped with passenger restraint systems, specifically including lap-shoulder belts, that meet the federal safety standard known as Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 222.
