This bill amends existing law regarding vehicle lighting, specifically Section 15 of Chapter 85 of the General Laws. It requires that all vehicles, whether moving or stopped on a public road, must have headlights and taillights that are turned on and visible from both the front and rear at all times. This requirement does not apply to vehicles propelled by hand. However, a special provision is made for vehicles transporting people on hayrides: they must use only electrically operated lights, specifically two flashing amber lights at the front and two flashing red lights at the rear, each at least six inches in diameter and mounted six feet from the ground.
